Review

This is an album which I don't possess, as I didn't feel that it was a studio album, but rather a soundtrack turned into an album. With the exception of 'Flashs Theme' and 'The Hero', the rest of the album has a lot of instrumentation as well as various sound bytes from the film 'Flash Gordon'.
Queen only saw 20 minutes of the film before they had to write the music, but in the end the album took only 3 months to finish.

The music reviews actually liked the album with Sounds calling it ' something absolutely extraordinary ' and the Mirros calling it ' an album of epic dimensions and high quality'.

If you liked the film you will probably enjoy the album, as it does bring back memories of the film

Review Rating : 4

Did you know .... Brian May recorded some of the music which was used on his solo album 'Back to the Light' - have a listen to the track, 'The Dark' and see if you can spot elements which were recorded 12 years previous to Brians solo album.
